Travel route from Jakarta to Yogyakarta
Day 1 – Visiting Destinations in Downtown Jakarta
The trip will begin with a pick-up at your hotel or at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (CGK). We will take you to explore downtown Jakarta, starting with a visit to the National Monument (Monas) which holds the story of the history of the Indonesian nation. Next, we will visit the Istiqlal Mosque, the largest mosque in Indonesia, and enjoy the atmosphere of the old city at Fatahillah Square.
Don’t miss it, we will also invite you to visit the historic port of Sunda Kelapa. After exploring Jakarta all day and absorbing the nuances of the city, we will take you back to the hotel to rest.
Day 2: From Jakarta to Bandung via Bogor and Puncak
After checking out from the hotel in Jakarta, we will head to the beautiful and refreshing Bogor Botanical Gardens. Then, we will invite you to continue the journey to the Puncak area to enjoy the beauty of the green tea plantations, while stopping for lunch at Puncak Pass with its charming mountain views. In the afternoon, the trip will head to Bandung and you will stay two nights in the city of Bandung.
Day 3: Explore Bandung City
On the third day, we will visit popular destinations in Bandung City. Bandung offers a variety of experiences. The adventure in Bandung will begin with a visit to Tangkuban Perahu Volcano, where you can witness the natural charm and wonder of the active crater.
To add to the relaxation, the hot springs near Mount Tangkuban Perahu are ready to pamper you. If time permits, we will take you to visit Saung Angklung Udjo which presents traditional Javanese music culture.
The cultural journey continues by visiting Gedung Sate, an icon of government and a symbol of typical West Javanese architecture. After that, we will take you to the hotel to rest.
Day 4: Heading to Yogyakarta City
In the morning, after checking out from the hotel in Bandung, you will start your journey to Yogyakarta by train from Bandung Station or using a private vehicle (as per your request). If you use the train from Bandung to Yogyakarta, the Yogyakarta driver will pick you up and take you to the hotel.
Upon arrival in Yogyakarta, you can enjoy the city atmosphere full of local wisdom and living cultural traditions. You can stop by Malioboro, have dinner at a local restaurant with Yogyakarta’s signature cuisine, Gudeg.
Day 5: Touring Central Yogyakarta and Borobudur Temple
A day full of cultural charm begins with a visit to the Yogyakarta Palace, a palace that is a symbol of the greatness and wisdom of traditional Java. Then, the journey continues to Tamansari Water Castle, a former royal garden and bathing place that is stunning with its architecture.
You will get the chance to witness the process of making shadow puppets that are rich in stories and see firsthand the beauty of batik and silver crafts in Kotagede. The highlight of the day is visiting Borobudur Temple, the largest Buddhist temple in the world which is also recognized as a UNESCO world heritage site.
In the evening, we will take you back to the hotel to rest and prepare for the next day’s adventure.
Day 6: Prambanan Temple – End of Tour
In the morning, after checking out, the trip will end with a visit to Prambanan Temple, the highest and most magnificent Hindu temple in Indonesia. Here you will admire the beauty of the architecture and the grandeur of history stored in each of its reliefs.
After the Prambanan Temple tour is over, we will take you to the train station, hotel, or destination of your choice, ending your 6-day, 5-night trip in Java that is full of inspiration and adventure.
