We will head to Borobudur Temple, which is approximately a 1-hour drive from the center of Yogyakarta. During the journey from Yogyakarta to Borobudur, you can enjoy the bustling city of Yogyakarta and the natural beauty along the Jogja – Muntilan – Magelang road.
At 8:00 AM, we will arrive at the Borobudur Temple area, collect the tickets we have prepared, and wait to start the tour at Borobudur Temple. After receiving your entry tickets, you will be provided with sandals (upanat), a bag to store your shoes, bottled drinking water, and will wait for the local guide to call your group for the tour.
At 8:30 AM, the tour with the local guide at Borobudur Temple will begin. The guide will take you around Borobudur Temple for about 90 minutes and provide important information about the site. You will be in a group of 15 people, which may make the tour more enjoyable.
After completing the tour at Borobudur Temple, at 10:00 AM, we will leave Borobudur Temple and visit the smaller temples nearby, namely Pawon Temple and Mendut Temple. These two temples have a strong historical connection with Borobudur Temple. Near Pawon Temple, if you’d like to try natural coffee derived from civet cat droppings, you can sample it at Pawon Luwak Coffee.
Next, we will head to Prambanan Temple, but along the way, we will stop at a local restaurant to enjoy local cuisine and have lunch.
The tour at Prambanan Temple will take approximately 90 minutes to 2 hours. At Prambanan Temple, you can hire a local guide available at the counter, and you can choose a guide who speaks your preferred language. Guides are available in English, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, Dutch, French, and more. Within the Prambanan Temple complex, there are also Bubrah Temple, Lumbung Temple, and Sewu Temple, which you can visit for FREE.
After finishing the tour, at 3:00 PM, we will return to your hotel, or drop you off at the train station or Yogyakarta airport, as per your request.
