10-Day Java Island Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Jakarta

• Our driver guide will pick you up upon your arrival at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport Jakarta.
• You will then be transferred to your hotel in central Jakarta (overnight stay at a hotel in Jakarta).
• Check in at the hotel and rest, preparing for tomorrow’s adventure.

Day 2: Jakarta City Tour

• After breakfast, our driver guide will pick you up for a Jakarta city tour.
• Our first visit will be to the National Museum of Indonesia, also known as the Elephant Museum (the first and largest museum in Southeast Asia that houses ancient collections from all over Indonesia).
• Continue to Jakarta Old Town area, visiting Fatahillah Museum and Sunda Kelapa Harbor.
• Visit the National Monument (MONAS) Jakarta.
• Enjoy walking around Grand Indonesia (one of the largest shopping malls in Jakarta).
• We will transfer you back to your hotel in Jakarta.

Day 3: Jakarta – Bogor Tour

• After breakfast at the hotel in Jakarta, we will depart for Taman Mini Indonesia Indah.
• In the afternoon, we will continue to Bogor and visit the Bogor Botanical Gardens.
• Continue to the hotel for check-in (overnight stay at a hotel in Bogor).

Day 4: Bogor – Bandung

• Breakfast at the hotel and prepare to check out from the hotel in Bogor.
• Head to Kawah Putih in the Bandung area.
• Visit Tangkuban Perahu Volcano.
• Visit the Ciater Tea Plantation (meet a local guide and enjoy a walk around the tea plantation).
• Before heading to the city center, we will visit Saung Angklung Udjo to watch various traditional art performances.
• Check in at a hotel in central Bandung (overnight stay at a hotel in Bandung).

Day 5: Bandung – Yogyakarta

• After breakfast, we will travel to Yogyakarta. The journey will take approximately 8 hours. Along the way, you may stop for rest, meals, or simply enjoy coffee at highway rest areas.
• Arrive in Yogyakarta and prepare for check-in at your hotel in Yogyakarta (two nights stay at a hotel in Yogyakarta).

Day 6: Borobudur Temple – Yogyakarta City Tour

• After breakfast at around 7:00 AM, we will prepare to depart for the Borobudur area.
• Tour to Borobudur Temple (the largest Buddhist temple in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site) in the first session at 8:30 AM or 9:30 AM.
• Return to Yogyakarta city center to visit the Keraton (Yogyakarta Sultan Palace).
• Visit Tamansari Water Castle.
• Enjoy a relaxing walk along Malioboro Street Yogyakarta (one of the busiest tourist areas in the city center, especially at night).
• Return to the hotel in Yogyakarta.

Day 7: Yogyakarta – Prambanan – Surabaya

• After breakfast, we will pack up and continue the journey to East Java.
• Before that, we will visit Prambanan Temple (the largest and tallest Hindu temple in Indonesia).
• Continue to Surabaya, approximately 4 hours by road.
• Visit House of Sampoerna (museum and cigarette production site).
• Visit Kayoon Flower Market while passing by the Heroes Monument and Surabaya City Hall.
• Check in at a hotel in central Surabaya (overnight stay at a hotel in Surabaya).

Day 8: Surabaya – Mount Bromo

• Check out from the hotel in Surabaya after breakfast and continue the journey to the Bromo area.
• Visit the natural attraction Madakaripura Waterfall, accompanied by a local guide.
• Continue to Cemoro Lawang Village (the main gateway to the Mount Bromo area), approximately 2 hours away.
• Arrive at the hotel in Cemoro Lawang (overnight stay at a hotel in Cemoro Lawang).

Day 9: Bromo Sunrise – Bondowoso

• At 3:00 AM, you will be picked up by a Bromo 4×4 Jeep driver.
• Head to the main sunrise viewpoint at Penanjakan Hill.
• Continue the journey across the Bromo Sea of Sand.
• Walk to the Bromo crater area.
• Return to the hotel for shower, breakfast, and check-out preparation.
• Continue to Bondowoso (overnight stay at a hotel in Bondowoso).

Day 10: Bondowoso – Ijen Crater – Bali

• You will check out from the hotel at midnight and continue to the Paltuding trekking basecamp area.
• Trek to Ijen Crater for approximately 1.5 hours to witness the rare natural blue fire phenomenon.
• Continue to the summit of Ijen to enjoy the sunrise and the stunning turquoise crater lake view.
• Return to Paltuding basecamp, have breakfast at a local restaurant, and continue the journey to Ketapang Harbor in Banyuwangi.
• Take a ferry to Gilimanuk Harbor Bali.
• Upon arrival at Gilimanuk Harbor, our driver guide will pick you up and transfer you to your hotel in Bali.
• End of the 10-day tour.
