Full Day Borobudur Sunrise Tour from Punthuk Setumbu Hill – We will take you to visit Borobudur Temple, one of the largest Buddhist temples in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. However, before that, we will depart early in the morning from the hotel to witness the sunrise from Punthuk Setumbu Hill. After the Punthuk Setumbu Hill tour, we will visit the smaller temples surrounding Borobudur, namely Mendut Temple and Pawon Temple.
These two temples have a strong historical connection to Borobudur Temple. Afterward, we will have breakfast at a local restaurant, enjoying traditional Javanese cuisine accompanied by a cup of hot coffee or tea. Once finished, we will continue our tour to Borobudur Temple. The tour at Borobudur Temple will last approximately 90 to 120 minutes, allowing you to marvel at the grandeur of the temple and capture memorable moments of your visit.
After completing the Borobudur Temple tour, we will take you to explore the Merapi Mountain area. Here, you will learn about the powerful eruption of Mount Merapi that occurred in 2010. The tour exploring the history of the Merapi eruption will be conducted using a 4×4 Jeep, traversing rocky and steep paths. This Merapi tour will last around 60 minutes.
Following the Merapi tour, we will head to Prambanan Temple to witness the splendor of the largest Hindu temple in Indonesia. Before that, we will stop at a local restaurant for lunch. The Prambanan Temple tour will last approximately 90 to 120 minutes, depending on your comfort. After the tour, we will return to your hotel in the center of Yogyakarta, or we can drop you off at the train station or airport.
